the wildwood
Fall at Riverwood this year is displaying itself mostly in yellow and yellowy greens, with a bits of red, maroon, rust and burgundy here and there. But it's very satisfying to me and I'm enjoying the show, such as it is. This is part of the protected land on which I pay no taxes. This is a reward for a kind of passive stewardship that allows the natural course of forest growth and succession to proceed without interference.
